Kurt Niedenthal, age 75, died on August 31,2026 at Hallmark Nursing Center in Denver, Colorado.. He was preceded in death by his mother Dorothy, father Robert, sisters Agnes, Elizabeth, and Virginia Horan. He is survived by his sister Anne (Tom),cousin Theodore(Sharon),nephews Matthew(Katie) and Gerik Zatorski, niece Lauren(CW) Clarke and great-nieces Dorothy, Brooke, Piper, Marina, and great-nephew Calvin. He graduated from Boettcher School in Denver, Arapahoe Community College and Fort Lewis College in Durango, Colorado.
Although he had a physical disability, he was an inquisitive statistical genius and could quote sports and historical data without hesitation. His famous saying was that" he had never met a stranger" and so, he cherished family, friends, and sports. He was dedicated to his religious beliefs and was an avid participant in weekly activities of faith at Hallmark.
We are thankful for his care at Hallmark Nursing Center where they became Kurt's family and friends. There will be a celebration of life at Hallmark on September 16, 2026 at 2 pm at Hallmark Nursing Center. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Hallmark Nursing Center, 3701 West Radcliffe, Denver, Colorado 80236.
