Kristil Grimsrud (Krug) was a remarkable soul who touched the lives of those around her with her passion for the performing arts, modern dance, and an exceptional intellect in the sciences. Born on November 24th, 1980, in Boulder, Colorado, Kristil's love for the arts and sciences was evident from an early age. Her love and talent in modern dance were exceptional, and she graced many stages with her beautiful performances.
Kristil’s three children (14, 11, and 8) were the light of her life, and she devoted all her spare energy and resources to their happiness and interests. She imparted her passion for the performing arts on her daughters, and encouraged her young son’s fascination with technology.
In addition to her artistic pursuits, Kristil possessed an extraordinary mind for the sciences. Recognizing her academic brilliance, she was awarded an Academic Scholarship to the prestigious Colorado School of Mines, where she initially pursued her passion for biochemical engineering. Later, she transferred to the University of Colorado (Boulder), where she continued to excel, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemical Engineering.
Kristil's academic achievements opened doors to a fulfilling career in the field of technology and innovation. She joined Agilent Technologies, where her technical abilities and dedication to her work made her an invaluable member of the team. Agilent Management remembers, “She was such a valuable member of our Project Management team and we will miss her greatly. She was always a bright spot of creative energy to bring people together and drive to great outcomes.” Her
contributions to the company over the past 19 years were not only substantial, but reflective of her commitment to excellence and perseverance in everything she pursued.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Kristil was known for her kindness, generosity, and infectious laughter. She had an innate ability to inspire those around her, and her warm spirit created a sense of camaraderie wherever she went.
Tragically, Kristil's promising journey was cut short by a senseless act of violence that took her from us too soon. Our hearts are broken and we will miss her dearly. As we grieve the loss of a vibrant and talented soul, we remember Kristil for the joy she brought into our lives, the beauty she shared through her art, and the intellect she brought to the scientific community.
Kristil is survived by her parents and step mother, her brother, her step sister & step brother, her sister-in-law, and her three wonderful children. She is remembered by all as successful, driven, loving, considerate, passionate, intelligent, beautiful, and delightful to be around. She accomplished so much in her short life, and had so much left to contribute before being so savagely removed. The world will miss what she had yet to give us.
In honor of her wishes, a Celebration of her Life will be arranged soon, and notice of this event will be provided by invitation. Email grimskristil@gmail.com for more information.
