Kim F. Brunton, loyal husband, father and grandfather, passed away on May 26, 2025 in Westminster, Colorado. He was born on April 28, 1952 in Denver, Colorado to the late Ron and Maxine Brunton.
Kim grew up and attended schools in the Westminster area. He graduated from Westminster High School in 1970. After graduation, he went on to marry the love of his life Barbara and begin his young family. They got married December 12, 1970. During this time Kim worked in construction, owning his own business. From this experience, he would later go on to work at Home Depot where he worked up until the time of his passing.
Family was the most important thing to Kim. He spent his time soaking up memories with his family going to the lake, NASCAR races, enjoying family meals and holidays at home, and watching his grandchildren participate in their sports.
Kim is survived by a host of family that includes his devoted wife, Barbara J. (Bishop) Brunton; loving children, Christina (Scott) Walters and Kenneth (Darci) Brunton; beloved grandchildren, Andrew, Elizabeth, Preston, and Burke; siblings, Kerry (Lona), Kandi (Dave), and Kathy; as well as many wonderful nieces, nephews, and closes friends.
A Celebration of Kim’s life will be held at 11am, Monday, June 16, 2025 at Horan & McConaty Grant Chapel, 9998 Grant Street in Thornton.
A reception will follow at the American Legion Post 11-11 - 9959 Wadsworth Blvd Broomfield, Colorado 80021
