Kenneth Leroy Werth, 84, passed away peacefully at his home in Littleton, Colorado, on June 26, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Ken was born on March 29, 1942, in Denver, Colorado, to Nicodemus and Theresa (Younger) Werth. Raised in north Denver, he graduated from Holy Family High School, where he met the love of his life, Rita Carlino. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work, sharing 63 years of marriage.
A skilled welder and entrepreneur, Ken founded Ken's Welding, later building into a successful family business. Through years of hard work and dedication, he earned the respect of customers, employees, and friends for his honesty, integrity, and unwavering work ethic.
Ken's Catholic faith was the foundation of his life. It guided the way he loved his family, treated others, and quietly served his community. His many years of involvement with the Notre Dame Men's Club reflected that commitment, and he will be especially remembered for organizing and hosting the club's annual golf tournaments, creating traditions and friendships that endured for decades.
While he was proud of his work, nothing meant more to Ken than his family. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather whose greatest joy came from being present for the people he loved. Whether someone needed a helping hand, practical advice, or simply someone to count on, Ken was there and he had a sense of humor that left those around him smiling.
Ken was also an avid traveler who enjoyed exploring new places with family and friends. A lifelong Denver Broncos fan, Sundays in the fall were reserved for cheering on his team, a tradition many who knew him will fondly remember.
Ken is survived by his beloved wife, Rita (Carlino) Werth; his children, Tony Werth (Stefanie), Lenny Werth (Joyce), and Kim Werth Travis (Tim); his grandchildren, Nicole (Kurt), Peter (Katelyn), Angelina (Drew), Tiffani, Savannah, Brooklyn (Cole), and Kennedy; and his great-grandchildren, AJ, Theodore, Kinley, and Margot.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Nicodemus and Theresa Werth, and his siblings, Alvin, Catherine, Lucille, Alma, Lorraine, and Larry.
His life was a testament to faith, family, and hard work. Those who knew him will remember his dependable presence, quiet generosity, dry sense of humor, and the love he so freely gave to his family and friends. Though he will be deeply missed, his legacy lives on in every life he touched.
