Kenneth David Mauck

Kenneth David Mauck, 61, of Palm Desert, California, died July 18, at his home.

Ken was born on October 26, 1964, in Longmont to Wilbur Mauck and Judy Brouhard. He attended Longmont schools and graduated from Longmont High School in 1983. There he was involved in sports, lettering in football, basketball, and track.

Ken would continue his education graduating from Colorado State University, 1987. He received his master’s degree from Texas Christian University with a degree in Exercise Physiology and a master’s in physical therapy, from Pomona University, Pomona, California.

Ken worked for Scripp-Green Hospital, San Diego for 25 years. He then opened his own physical therapy clinic in Del Mar, California. The past number of years he has worked with Jordan Physical Therapy in Palm Desert, California.

Ken married Monique Torrez in Rosarita, Mexico, in 2000. They later divorced.

Ken continued to remain an avid Bronco fan, even after moving to southern California. He decorated his entire garage in Orange and Blue, creating the ultimate Bronco man cave.

Preceding him in death were his mother and grandparents.

Surviving are his son Lucas Mauck of San Diego; his former wife Monique Torrez of San Diego; his father Wilbur Mauch of Allenspark, his brother Gerald “Jerry” (Sherryl) Mauck of Berthoud; a niece Sydney Mauck of Chicago; nephews Thomas (Megan) Mauck of Sundance, Wyoming and Sean Mauck of Berthoud; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, August 29 at the Allenspark Community Church, Allenspark, Colorado.
