Kenneth Charles Herrmann

November 4, 1943 — November 10, 2014

Kenneth Charles Herrmann, 71, Arvada, Colorado, passed away 11/10/2014 in his home. Born 11/4/1943, in Peru, Illinois by parents William Herrmann and Ethel Keutzer Kenneth grew up with three siblings Richard, Audrey (Gee), and Ronnie in Peru, Illinois and graduated from LaSalle Peru High School. He earned a Bachelor's Degree in 1966 from North Central College. Ken loved golf, managed several golf courses, and always had a dog or two by his side as a companion. As a career, he spent most of his life in the banking industry. He enjoyed being social and making people laugh by whatever means possible. Proud of his German heritage, he could often be heard attempting to sing, ""Roll out the Barrel,"" or other polka songs. Ken liked to be involved with the community and held several leadership positions in Lockport, Illinois and numerous organizations within Illinois, Florida and Georgia. He is survived by his three daughters, Paula Herrmann, 43, Denver, Colorado; Shawn Shearer, 51, Payson, Utah; Katie Hernandez, 26, Fort Worth, Texas, and numerous nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his parents and brother, Richard (Dick). Quotes from the game he loved and players he respected: I have a tip that will take five strokes off anyone's golf game. It's called an eraser. -Arnold Palmer No other game combines the wonder of nature with the discipline of sport in such carefully planned ways. A great golf course both frees and challenges a golfer's mind. -Tom Watson There will be a small gathering of remembrance consisting of family and friends, and a scattering of ashes that will occur later next summer.
