Ken Gehant

Ken Gehant, 78, died on August 17, 2026, at home surrounded by his family in Aurora, Colorado.

Born on December 28, 1947, in Chicago, Illinois; Ken built a career in wine sales marked by strong product knowledge and early incorporation of computer technology. He worked closely with small business owners, helping with product education, inventory management, marketing, pricing, and retail display. He took particular pride in supporting his customers’ success.

Ken was known for his friendly conversation, good looks, and enthusiasm for sharing knowledge. He enjoyed clothes, classic cars, and all kinds of music. His primary interest, however, was supporting his children. He displayed his affection through many years of coaching soccer teams, late-night conversations, and evenings together watching TV.

Ken's life was distinguished by his integrity, his pride in helping others do well, and his love for his family. He will be remembered by those who knew him with respect and affection.

Ken is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pam; his son, Chris; his daughter, Anne; his brother, Mike; his sister, Pam; and his four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret, and his father, Ken.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 on October 10, 2026 at Oakwood Cemetery in Dixon, Illinois, where his family has been buried for many generations. A celebration of life will be held after the burial at Salamandra in downtown Dixon.
