Keith Brian Martin was born on December 8, 1955, in Fort Wayne, Indiana. From an early age, his father introduced him to hunting and fishing, and a love of the outdoors became a passion that stayed with him his whole life.
After graduating from Columbia City Joint High School, Keith built a career as a tool and die maker/CNC Programmer in the aeronautical and fishing industry. Keith was known for his strong work ethic and took pride in mentoring those who were beginning their careers.
In 1990, Keith married Deborah (Deb) Hall. They met when Keith asked her to dance at Foggy's Notion in San Diego. They had three children that are their world. The loss of their firstborn son, Hunter, stayed with them always, and Keith took great pride in his role as husband and father.
Keith was proud of his children and shared his values of honesty, living within your means, and being in nature. He taught his daughters Kendra and Aubrey to fish, and Aubrey to hunt, just as his dad taught him. The time the family spent outdoors will always be remembered.
Keith faced a long illness with strength and good humor. Even while in physical pain, he kept the medical staff smiling. When asked how he was feeling, he would often reply, "I feel like a wild and free fish," or "I'm as pert as a ruttin' buck." His humor and spirit remained with him throughout his fight.
Keith is survived by his wife, Deb Hall Martin; daughters, Kendra Hunter Martin and Aubrey Rose Martin, her spouse Gabriel Tetar; his brother, Gregory Lee Martin. He is preceded in death by his brother, Edwin Franklin Martin; son, Hunter Hall Martin; parents, Delores and David Martin.
A Celebration of Life for Keith Brian Martin will be held on Monday, June 29, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Horan and McConaty, 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd., Lakewood, CO 80227.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to Colorado Parks and Wildlife.
