Kathryn Ann (Fritts) Day

Kathryn Ann (Fritts) Day, 95, of Englewood, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend, passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, in Littleton, Colorado. Her warmth, boundless energy, and deep devotion to her family will be profoundly missed. Kathryn was born on February 9, 1930, in Yuma, Colorado, to Earl and Segra Fritts. She grew up in Yuma and graduated from Yuma High School in 1948.

In 1950, Kathryn met the love of her life, Norman E. Day. They were introduced by Norm’s uncle, Ike Day, who owned a furniture store in Yuma. Kathryn and Norm were married in the Methodist Church in Yuma on November 9, 1952. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Englewood, Colorado, where they shared a wonderful 63 years of marriage until Norm’s passing in 2015.

After high school, Kathryn worked for a telephone company in Fort Morgan, Colorado. Following her move to Englewood, she worked at Knit 1 Pearl 2 Knitting Shop and later enjoyed a long and successful career in sales and corporate roles with Fashion Bar. Even after retirement, she treasured attending monthly luncheons with her former colleagues.

Kathryn and Norm retired for the first time in the late 1980s and spent several years traveling across the United States in their motorhome with a large group of friends—always with golf as a central theme. Kathryn later continued her love of traveling with Kim and her family. She and Norm were longtime members of the Englewood Elks Lodge 2122 and the ECNAD Dance Group.

Kathryn was also active in Eastern Star, the Red Hat Society, and enjoyed swimming at the Englewood Recreation Center. She was a devoted member of Spirit of Hope United Methodist Church in Englewood and participated in UMW–Women of Faith. She also loved reading and making grilled cheese sandwiches for her grandchildren.

Kathryn is survived by her loving children: Pamela Workman (Patrick) of Florence, Arizona; Greg Day (Erin) of Cherry Hills, Colorado; and Kimberly Condreay (Gary) of Englewood. She is also survived by her cherished grandchildren—Brandon, Christian, and Jonathon Workman; Neal Day; Caitin Weaver; Bailey Yarbrough; Curtice Condreay; Lacey Alesch; and Kyle Condreay—as well as her 16 great-grandchildren. Her devotion to her family and friends was her greatest gift.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Norm; her parents, Earl and Segra Fritts; and her brother, John Fritts, and his wife, Betty, all of Yuma.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 9:30 a.m. at Spirit of Hope United Methodist Church, 4300 S. Lincoln St., Englewood, Colorado. A reception will follow. Committal will take place at Fort Logan National Cemetery at 12:30pm.
