Kathleen O'Meara Stewart

STEWART, KATHLEEN O'MEARA, 90, of Denver, passed away November 29, 2011. Born in Denver, Colorado April 17, 1921, the daughter of Alfred M. and Margaret O'Fallon O'Meara. She was one of the founding members of the Children's Diabetes Association. She also started an auxiliary for the Hope Center for the Developmentally Disabled, and was very active in the Sacred Heart alumnae. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Stewart, MD; brothers Alfred, Gene, & Mick O'Meara. Survived by six children Kathleen (Bud) Bell, Rob Stewart, Sunie Liley, Patty (Tom) Angerer, Craig (Karen) Stewart, Mary (James) Bailey; 14 grandchidren & 16 great-grandchildren; sisters Margaret McGlone & Eileen Allen; brother Patrick O'Meara, M.D. Funeral Mass 11:00 AM Monday, Most Precious Blood Catholic Church. Family interment services in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Porter Hospital.
