Kathleen Craig

Kathleen (Kathy) Marie Craig passed away peacefully on April 14, 2023, at Denver Hospice.

Kathy was born on July 14th, 1946 in Raton, New Mexico to parents Edwin Lane and Carmen Cecilia.

At an early age, Kathy moved to Europe with her military family. Kathy loved being immersed in different cultures, and her family moved throughout Europe and Japan before returning to the United States, where Kathy completed high school in Merced, California. There, she acted in school plays and honed her talent as a seamstress.

Kathy’s career was spent with different jobs until she landed a clerk position with Kaiser Permanente, where her attention to detail and stalwart performance earned her promotions within the company. She rose to become a pharmacy technician and, after 32 years, retired from Kaiser in 2013.

Baptized in the Catholic Church as a child, Kathy renewed her faith in Jesus Christ and was re-baptized at Heritage Christian Church. She read the Bible often and tried to teach others the way of Christ.

Kathy enjoyed reading, gardening, traveling, admiring nature, and caring for animals, particularly dogs and horses. She bought a home in Costa Rica near the ocean and spent many of her post-retirement days there. Kathy loved going on long drives along the coast and watching sunsets.

Kathy’s family will remember and miss her big heart, humility, honesty, intelligence, generosity, drive, and forthrightness.

She is preceded in death by her parents and children Traci and Anthony.

She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 40 years, Michael Craig; 2 children (Shaun and Sheri); 8 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.
