Karol Ann Wozny

Karol A. Wozny, 72, reunited with the love of her life on June 2, 2025. She was born on February 10, 1953 in Holyoke, Colorado. Her family eventually relocated to Longmont where she attended Longmont High School. 

At the young age of 17, she fell in love with her true love, Ted Wozny. After an enchanting courtship, the two married in May of 1971 and moved to Long Island, New York. Here, she was blessed with her first born, Timothy. Missing her family and not liking the large city life, she and Ted moved back to Colorado residing in Firestone. Shortly thereafter, her second child, Melissa, was born. With the desire of adventure and exploration, Karol and Ted again relocated to Tucson, Arizona in search of great opportunities. While here, she welcomed her third and final child, Thomas. 

Karol was gifted with a variety of skills. She was skilled at the sewing machine, crafting, painting, crocheting, and a talented gardener. She had an uncanny ability to fix or remodel anything. Her family frequently referred to her as “The McGuyver”. One of her favorite phrases was “I have a tool for that”. She was always ready and willing to help fix things that were broken. Her family was always her number one priority. She was always present at all their sporting activities, music performances, award ceremonies, birthdays and holidays. She was proud of all her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Karol is survived by her children: Timothy (Stephanie), Melissa (Eddie) Wood, and Thomas (Connie) as well as grandchildren: Jordan, Chandler, Morgan, Sadie, Caroline, Graham and Eden. She also has two great grandsons, Grayson and Jackson. Karol is also survived by her sisters, Cheryl (Billy) Medler, Valerie (Steve) Gardner, Patty (Keith) Woods and brother Virgil (Linda) Kapperman. 

Karol is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Lois Kapperman and her spouse Ted Wozny. 

Her kind heart, willful determination, talented creativity and incredible honor, protection and love for her family will be gravely missed. May she rest in peace. 

Memorial and Celebration of Life service will take place at Horan & McConaty 9998 Grant Street, Thornton, CO 80229 on Friday July 25th, 2025 at 1 p.m. with a reception to follow.
