Karl Wolfgang Sauer

Karl Wolfgang Sauer, age 71, of Parker, Colorado passed away on July 15th, 2024. Karl was born on November 18th, 1952 in Rodenbach, Germany to Alfred and Margaret (Raab) Sauer.

In Germany, he completed trade school to become a Machinist. In November of 1982, he moved to the United States with his family, and he continued his career as a Master Journeyman Machinist for 50 years.

Aside from his career, Karl enjoyed camping, fishing, bicycle riding, and working on his Jeep. He spent his time going to Broncos and Rockies games, and most of all, being with his beloved family. When he could, he also spent his free time driving and being in the mountains.

Karl is survived by his wife, Vera Herta Sauer, whom he was married to for 50 years; his children, Katja Sauer, Uwe Sauer (and grandson Matt Sauer), and Sonja Sauer; and his siblings, Ursula Sauer-Pope, Helmut Sauer, and Rose Kehoe.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Margaret (Raab) Sauer, and his siblings, Ella Weber, Horst Sauer, Alfred Sauer, Karlheinz Sauer, Ilja Sauer, and Babel Sauer.

Karl will be missed dearly by those who knew him.

 Services will be held on Friday, August 9th at 6pm, at Horan & McConaty Funeral Home, 5303 E. County Line Rd., Centennial, CO 80122.
