Karl Georg Kemler II, 80 years old, from Dillon, Colorado passed away peacefully at Life Care Center of Evergreen on March 3rd, 2025.
Karl was born on January 17th, 1945 in Trenton, NJ and lived in Lawrence and Ewing, NJ for forty-eight years. He attended Lawrence elementary and middle schools before attending Trenton Central High School. He married Jean Nuva in 1965 shortly after graduating high school, worked as a truck driver for twenty-five years and was a member of Teamsters Local 614 and Local 701 before moving to Summit County, CO in 1993 where he started and ran his own cleaning business, KGKleaning, for the next thirty years.
While his children, Stacy and K.G., were growing up in Ewing, NJ, Karl coached many of their basketball, soccer, baseball and softball teams, as many fathers do. But Karl had a special place in his heart for the Revere Travel '71 Girls Soccer team who won their way to the national finals in 1989. His favorite tournaments with them were in Miami, California, Colorado, WAGS, and Niagara Falls. He never hesitated to offer a ride in his blue van to a practice, game or tournament to any player who needed one.
Karl was an avid skier and traveled the globe. He, and his wife Jean, traveled to six out of seven continents. He meticulously planned each itinerary, and his favorite trips were to South Africa, Rio de Janeiro, Italy, Shanghai and Iceland. He and Jean also sailed away on twenty-three cruises. Karl ended up slowing down after he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in 2018.
Karl is preceded in death by his parents, Karl George I and Helen Kemler of Lawrence, NJ; his wife, Jean Kemler, of Dillon, CO. Surviving are his son, Karl George (K.G.) Kemler III, daughter, Stacy Ann (James "Bo") Burrows; two grandchildren, Jimmy Burrows and Chase Burrows.
Cremation was private and a private celebration of life will be held later in the summer months.
