June Louise McFadden, born on February 25, 1929, in Canton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on March 1, 2026, in Denver, Colorado. She was 97 years old.
June was the beloved daughter of the late Hugh and Bertha Hodges and shared a special bond with her late twin sister, Jeanne Dennison. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years Billy McFadden, and her niece Penny Pell.
June’s legacy lives on through her loving family. She is survived by Jack (Hope) Banks of Farmersville, Texas; Justin Banks of Aurora; Stanley (Carol) McFadden of Layton, Utah; Tina (Wes) Bear and Steven McFadden of Commerce City; and Tomi McFadden of Denver. Her grandchildren are Joshua (Jennifer) Fults, Lucas Fults, Shelby (Greg) Bumberger, Karmen (Scott) Trower, Janessa Banks, Kim (Paul) Allen, Jason McFadden, Justin McFadden, Carl (Crystal) McFadden, Ryan (Tisha) Morley, Samantha Habenicht, Patrick (Kalenna) Bear, and Amber (Tim) Sullivan. June was also blessed with 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Additionally, she is survived by her nieces Gara (Edward) Sauer and Kyle (Darren) Boas, and nephew Jerry (Laura) Dennison.
June often remarked on her interesting life, moving frequently as a military spouse as well as enjoying years of RV exploration around the country. Her life was marked by the love she shared with her family and friends and the cherished memories they created together. Her presence will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all who knew her.
May her memory bring comfort to those who loved her. A Graveside Service will be held on April 10, 2026, beginning promptly at 12:15 PM at Fort Logan National Cemetery, 3692 South Sheridan Boulevard, in Denver. A Memorial Gathering will follow from 2:00 to 4:00 PM at the Heartlight Center at Horan & McConaty, 11150 East Dartmouth Avenue in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Eventide Hospice of Centennial, Colorado.
