Judy Ann Schrader

Judy Ann Schrader, age 79, passed from this life into the next on March 18, 2024. She was born in San Diego, California on July 3, 1944, where she spent her early years before meeting and marrying Ray Schrader, her husband of 61 years August 23, 1962.

Throughout her life, Judy had many jobs, hobbies, and creative pursuits. Her professional life included time spent as a Nurse’s Aide, Travel Agent, and Executive Assistant. She also spent a year in sabbatical writing her book “…and Mother Earth Wept”. In 2011, Judy retired from Marillac Health in Grand Junction, Colorado. Judy’s creative exploration included but was not limited to painting, writing, gardening, food preservation, sewing, crochet, cooking and creating a home full of love for everyone and anyone who entered it.

Judy is survived by her husband Ray; their children, Susan Santistevan (Jesse), Robin Schrader, Aaron Schrader, and Heather Zarowsky (Bill). She was an adoring and beloved Granny to her grandchildren, Chelsea (Jason), Jacinth (Keve), Levi (Claire), Slayton, Preslee, Jayce, Marek; and greatgrandchildren, Declan, Delaney, Dulcie, Draya, Brecker, Torah and Everest. Judy is also survived by her second Mother, Elena Judd; her siblings, Priel, David (Iris), Grant (Cyndi), Robert (Cindy), Matt (Joni), Mark (Marie) Paul (Annette), Laurie (Pavel), Carlena (Luis), and Juancarlos; and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Dave and June Judd.

Funeral services will take place on Friday, April 5, 2024, at 10:30 AM at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 20850 E. Mainstreet, Parker, Colorado 80138.
