Judy Kay Rossi

Judith Kay Rossi, age 81, died in her home in Thornton, Colorado on August 22, 2024.

Judy was born March 1,1943, in Denver, Colorado. She met Lou Rossi while she was still in high school and he became her husband on June 30, 1962, at the age of 19. Judy worked at Mountain Bell and the high school kitchen for several years. Judy was diagnosed with MS in her 40s. At that time there wasn’t a treatment available or a cure. As the years went by a treatment was found in the form of a shot. She started these shots to slow the progression. Thanks to the MS Society she was able to afford the shots. Even though there is still no cure they have come a long way in the treatment. She also had a deep faith and if you misplaced something or thought a problem was insurmountable, she would say pray to St Jude, he finds everything and makes the impossible possible. She and Lou had a love of antiques, and they had several shops over the years. She will live on in the hearts of her family and friends and will be remembered for her sense of humor and her kind and caring nature.

 Funeral services will take place at Horan & McConaty, 9998 Grant St, Thornton, CO 80229, on Monday, September 9th at 11:00 am. Reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers we are asking donations to be made in Judy’s name to either The St Jude Children’s Hospital or The MS Society.

She is survived by her husband Lou, of 62 years, her daughters Sandy (Dennis), Kim (Kelly); 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Brandon (Jennifer), Aimee, Sam, Meghan and Christopher; 3 great-grandchildren, Brooke, Scarlett and Margot. She is also survived by her sister, Sherry (John) and several nieces, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Charles Lowell and Floreine Counts.
