With hearts full of love and gentle sorrow, we bid farewell to our beloved mother, Judy Turner, who passed away peacefully at her home in Henderson, Nevada, on June 13, 2025. Born on November 26, 1933, in Wichita, Kansas, to Theodore and Mildred Carman, Judy’s remarkable 91-year journey was a testament to the power of love, resilience and strength she gave so freely to her family and the animals she held close to her heart.
Judy approached every task in life with quiet determination and a deep sense of purpose. Her hands were rarely still, and her heart was always in everything she did. Judy’s memory lives on in the stories shared, the love passed down, and the quiet moments where her spirit is still felt. As a tribute to the life Judy lived and the love she gave, we hold close these words.
“As I reflect on my life, I see how deeply my family has shaped the person I’ve become. In their presence, I discovered a lifetime of sweetness, joy, and the kind of love that gently anchored my soul. For this, I will be forever grateful.”
She is lovingly remembered by her children: Cynthia Broaddus (Gary), Vinnie Tomlin (Richard), Rebecca Korf (Tim), Randall Turner (Denise), and Rhonda Turner (Rich Levins)—each of whom carry her strength, values and spirit within them. Judy’s life was enriched by the love and joy brought by her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. Her legacy and memory will live on through them and their future generations.
Judy was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Earl Turner; her parents, Theodore and Mildred (Austin) Carman; her daughter, Katherine Bylsma; and two beloved granddaughters, Amanda Bylsma and Denika Hess. Though their absence left a deep ache in her heart, she honored them with memories, stories, and an unbreakable thread of love.
We invite all who knew and loved Judy to visit the memorial page and share their memories and photos. Each story shared reflects the joy she brought into this world—and a light that keeps her spirit shining bright in our hearts.
