Judith “Judy” Anne Ruzicka passed away peacefully at the age of 91.
Judy was raised in Elm Grove, Wisconsin, alongside her sister Colette “Bunny”. She graduated from Pius XI High School and later earned her nursing degree from Marquette University in 1957.
Judy married her high school sweetheart, Ralph Ruzicka, and together they moved to Boulder, Colorado, where they built a beautiful life centered around family, hard work and caring for others.
A devoted nurse throughout her life, Judy spent decades helping those in need through public health, home health care, and volunteer work with Boulder Valley Schools. She later became the Executive Director of Professional Home Health Care and helped found Complete Home Health Care, which she remained involved with until retiring at the age of 78. Judy also loved spending time with family while helping at the alps Boulder Canyon Inn, where many special memories were made together.
Above all else, Judy cherished her family. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and a constant source of strength and support to those who knew her. Her Christian faith was a beautiful and steady foundation in her life, guiding her compassion, generosity and lifelong commitment to serving others. She especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, creating memories filled with laughter, love and generosity.
Judy was preceded in death by her beloved husband Ralph, daughter Laurie, and infant son Paul. She is survived by her children Jeannine and husband John, Melanie and husband Bill, and Gregory and wife Missy: and her cherished grandchildren Brent, Kaitlyn, Alexis, Kevin, Abby (Kevin’s fiancé), SinJin, and step grandsons Zach and Eric with wife Pamela.
Her life was defined by kindness, compassion, and an unwavering love for her family. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
A celebration of Judy’s life will be held on June 12th at 2:00 p.m. at Ave Maria Catholic Church, 9056 E. Parker Rd. Parker, CO 80138. Burial services will take place on Saturday, June 13th at 11:00 a.m. at Green Mountain Cemetery, 290 20th St. Boulder, CO 80302.
