Judith (Judy) Ann White Breunle of Aurora, Colorado died peacefully surrounded by her family on February 27, 2026.
She was born on April 10, 1937, in Camden, New Jersey, to Frank Buckman White and Elizabeth (Carson) White. Judy grew up in Merchantville, New Jersey and lived there until meeting the love of her life, Phillip Carl Breunle, at Ft. Dix at a Fourth of July celebration. Phil and Judy married on May 30, 1964, at Grace Episcopal Church in Merchantville, New Jersey and celebrated 60 years together, UNTIL his death on January 14, 2025, in Aurora, CO. They spent many years of their marriage traveling and living in different locations such as New Orleans, LA, Panama Canal Zone, Central America, Boston, MA and finally settling in Aurora, CO when Phil, (COL, USA) retired at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center in 1990.
Judy is survived by her four children whom she loved wholeheartedly, Shawn Breunle (married to April) of Panama City, FL, Melissa Breunle of Aurora, CO, Kristan Breunle (married to Maria) of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kara Snyder (married to David) of Orlando, FL. She had 12 grandchildren who survive her: Brittany Hurst, Ethan Gillette, Morgan White, Zachary and Rachel Breunle, Reese and Arianna Lory, Katherine and Abigail von Poks, and Emily, Lara and David Snyder IV, as well as a great-granddaughter, Anastasia Lory. Judy was devoted to all of them and had a never-ending love for them.
She was predeceased by her brother Walter White, and sisters, Elizabeth Campbell, and Florence Sullivan.
Judy worked in banking for several years followed by many years spent serving the community. She volunteered at local organizations, based on where Phil and Judy were stationed, and upon settling in Colorado she spent several years at Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center Red Cross, where she acted as the Chairwoman of Volunteers. In 1988, she was awarded the Clara Barton Honor Award for Meritorious Volunteer Leadership, which honored her commitment to giving to others.
In her love and devotion for others, she entered a room of strangers and left with a multitude of new friends.
Judy enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, traveling, often jumping on a plane and spending months visiting spots up and down the East Coast, and she was always up for new adventures. She loved the beauty of the world that surrounded her and loved to fill her days in her garden listening to the birds, witnessing the majestic views of the color palette that nature offered, and looking up to the sky for the pictures the clouds would hold for her above.
She had an indestructible LOVE for chocolate ice cream and drinking Coca Cola. Both were left over from the time she spent at her dad’s store (soda fountain) located in the 600 block of W. Maple Ave. Merchantville, NJ, when she was growing up.
Please join us in celebrating such an extraordinary woman on April 11, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Stephens Episcopal Church, located at 1 Del Mar Circle, Aurora, CO, 80012. Where the joy and impact of her love will be shared.
In lieu of flowers, please plant a tree in Judy’s memory so she, as the flowers she surrounded herself with, can continue to bring tranquility and beauty to others in the years ahead.
