Josephine Richards, age 77, was born to Vicente & Elisaida Montoya, in La Jara, NM. Josephine was raised in Farmington, NM and attended Sacred Heart Catholic School and graduated from Farmington High School in 1966. She moved to Denver, CO in 1970 and remained there the rest of her life.

She is survived by son Joey Richards (Elizabeth Eden) of Denver, CO; two grandchildren Jeremiah Cano (Aimee Boonstra), Jaydian Cano of Denver, CO; sisters Rita (Dan) Southwick of Thornton, CO, Emily Sandoval of Albuquerque, NM; nephew Kevin Sandoval (Jenn Schmeits) of Thornton, CO; niece Anna Marie Southwick of Denver, CO.

Preceded in death by her parents Vicente & Elisaida Montoya; mother-in-law Jean Richards to whom she was very close.

Josephine was a very loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt. While we will miss her enormously and will forever remain in our hearts, she is now at peace and free from pain.

Funeral arrangements will be determined at a later date.
