Joseph Bower Smith

Joseph Bower Smith, age 92, died April 7, 2024 of natural causes. He was a graduaute from the University of Illinois, Champaign, Ill.. He also served in the Navy and was in a early warning squadron based in Jacksonville Fl.. He continued working in the aviation industry and worked for 40+ years for United Air Lines from which he retired.

Joseph enjoyed in his spare time playing the bagpipes and going to mountain man rendezvouses. 

He was preceded in death by his wife of more then 50 years Lillian G. Smith and his son John Eric Bowersmith. He is survived by his son Joseph A. Bowersmith and daughter Cheryl A. Bowersmith.
