Joseph Raymond Pearce, 86, of Littleton, Colorado passed away on Saturday, March 29, 2014 at his home and in the loving presence of family. Joe was born in Boulder, Colorado on October 11, 1927, and was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and three sisters. Joe was also preceded in death by his wife, Jean to whom he was married for 58 years. Joe is survived by his Children, Larry (Bernie), Tammie (Dan), his grandchildren, Brian (Casey) Brad (Erin), Heather (Josh), Ashley, and Stormi, and his great grandchildren Tayler, Colton, Cameron, Danika, Jayce, Samantha and Aria. Joe is also survived by nieces, nephews and their families. His niece, Sugar took fabulous care of Joe after his wife died, which greatly enhanced his quality of life. His loyal dog, Buddy stayed by his side until the end. Joe was a private contractor in the construction business for over 30 years where he taught and mentored many young men in the construction industry. Joe was a prankster who found joy in every single day. He worked hard and played even harder. He enjoyed exploring the outdoors through camping, hunting, fishing, driving his ATV and his jeep, boating, waterskiing, and snowmobiling - he even tried his hand at flying airplanes for a short while. Joe's family wishes to thank the many friends for their love and support. Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014 014 at 2:00 PM at the Horan & McConaty located at 3101 S. Wadsworth Blvd. The reception will be held at Horan & McConaty immediately following the service. The family suggests donations be made to the Exempla Lutheran Hospice who provided excellent care to Joe and his family in his final days.
