It is with deep sadness and devastated heavy hearts that we announce the sudden and unexpected loss of our most loved Joey Muckler on June 1st, 2026. Joey was born on July 10, 1994, in West Palm Beach, FL, but moved to Denver in 2000 and was fortunate to grow up in Colorado. He was the light of our lives and our everything.
Joey was a 2012 graduate of Cherry Creek High School where he was a four-year varsity letterman on the golf team. Golf was his true passion. Joey then went on to play collegiate golf at the University of Central Missouri for two years. He missed Colorado, so he returned to attend school at the University of Colorado, Boulder. Joey graduated in 2017 from CU’s LEEDS School of Business with a Bachelor of Science degree in business. He worked in the finance and investments industry for many years where he was well respected for his dedication and collaborative spirit.
Beyond the golf course, Joey loved his dog Houston very much. Houston was his best buddy, and they were inseparable companions through every day of life. Houston provided constant love and comfort.
Joey was kind, compassionate, funny, bright, and an inspiration to all of us. His best friends are his lifelong brothers that will be with him forever. Together they loved to play golf and watch all sports like football, hockey, basketball……….and also invested in Draft Kings! These special, meaningful relationships and memories will live on through Joey’s legacy.
Joey loved spending time with his family, and he meant the world to us. Everyone knows that Joey was especially close to his grandfather, or Popo, Dan Muckler. They spent many days together fishing, boating, and playing in golf tournaments at the Ocean Reef Club in Key Largo, FL. Joey called Popo his best friend, and now they will be together in heaven with the angels.
Joey is lovingly remembered by his parents, Joe and Jill Muckler, his aunt and uncle, Tim and Susan Muckler, and his cousins, Jamie, Danny, and Andrea Muckler.
Always remember to hug your loved ones and tell them you love them every day, Joey would do this with us. He will be missed beyond words. To honor Joey’s legacy, his family will be holding a Joey Muckler Tribute Golf Tournament in the future to cherish our memories of everything he loved in life.
Remembrance gathering and donation details can be found below. The family invites everyone to wear casual, golf attire in Joey’s honor.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to True Companions Animal Shelter where Joey rescued his lifelong buddy, Houston. Joey Muckler Memorial Donations - True Companions Animal Shelter & Clinic
A reception honoring Joey’s life and legacy will be held immediately after the remembrance gathering at The Inverness Denver Golf Resort on the Aspen Terrace overlooking the golf course.
