Joseph Kurchak

October 12, 1924 — November 6, 2021

Lakewood, Colorado

Joseph Kurchak, loving father and husband, age 97, went to be with Jesus the morning of Saturday, November 6, 2021. He was a United States Air Corps veteran from WWII. After returning home, following his calling to be a minister, he attended Moody Bible Institute, where he met his wife, Barbara Joan Hall. He later graduated from Northern seminary with three degrees. He was a Baptist minister at Lake Geneva First Baptist and Milwaukee Tabernacle in Wisconsin. He was loved by his congregation, he always took good care of those in need and never said no to someone who was hungry.

Joe dedicated his life to helping people, as a minister he saved lives and in his second career in life insurance, he protected families that were left behind.  Joe had a dry sense of humor, told great stories and loved fishing and sports- go Broncos and Rockies!

He is survived by four children, Lynda, Mark, Kent and Sandy, as well as six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He also loved his brother and sister in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Please make donations in his honor to Moody Bible Institute.  His family is thankful for your prayers as we celebrate his arrival into Heaven.

Please leave memories and condolences for Joseph by signing his tribute wall.
