Obituary

Jon Petkovich, 76, of Littleton, Colorado was born on August 25, 1949, in Anchorage, AK. to Jon and Eunice Petkovich. He passed away peacefully at Intermountain Health Hospice/Collier Center in Wheat Ridge, CO., August 7, 2026.

Jon is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Kathy Petkovich, sons: Brett (Noreen) Petkovich, CO., Michael Petkovich, NE., daughter: Shea Goodwin, GA, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grand. He is also survived by 6 siblings: an incredibly wonderful sister Eilyne (Larry) Sims, AL., 5 caring and supportive brothers: Joel Petkovich, OH., Jary (Gina) Petkovich, TX., Mike (Sherry Gravett) Petkovich, AL., Karl Petkovich, VA., and Jay (Amy) Arwood, GA., a host of nieces, nephews and extended family that loved and adored him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jon and Eunice Petkovich.

Jon was a United States Air Force Veteran; receiving an Honorable Discharge. He held a master’s degree in finance and enjoyed a 40-year career as a Computer Systems Engineer.

He had many passions: His irrefutable love for Kathy, dancing into the night, fast cars (Chevy’s in particular), family, good friends, education, dogs, the Pittsburgh Steelers, Colorado Rockies, NASCAR, road trips, caring for others and making people laugh.

Jon was a caring and generous man; always willing to offer help or teach you whatever he knew. When asked what he wanted his legacy to be, he simply replied, “I just hope I made a difference in someone’s life.”

Indeed, that is what he did!
