John Otto

John Walter Otto was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 21, 1959. He moved to Colorado in 1963 at the age of 4 with his family. His first job at Rocky Mountain Mennonite Camp is where his love of the outdoors began and it continued throughout his life. He was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying skiing, hiking, boating, and mountain biking. John met his wife, Rosalie, at the age of 18 in Denver, and they were married in 1982. In 1986, they were blessed with the birth of their first daughter, Katharine, and welcomed their second daughter, Janet, in 1989. With a degree in Computer Science, he had the opportunity to travel the world. John enjoyed many trips with his family, including their annual summer trip to Lake Powell, UT with their friends. John is survived by his parents Ruth Anna Mast Otto and Darrel Denton Otto, older brother Darrel Denton II, wife Rosalie Otto, daughters Katharine and Janet Otto and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will take place on Saturday, March 1, 2014, 1:30 PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 7577 West 80th Avenue, Arvada.
