John C. ""Jack"" McGowan

John C. “Jack” McGowan, 79, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2019 in Aurora, Colorado. Jack was born in Ottumwa, Iowa on September 13, 1939.

Jack married Mary (Curtan) McGowan and together they had three children. In addition to husband and father, Jack was a successful business owner. He was the founder of TRC Marketing, Inc. and he thoroughly enjoyed the work he did there. In his free time Jack was a nautical modeling enthusiast and a community servant, often spending his time washing dishes at The Same Cafe so that others could enjoy a free meal.

Jack is survived by his wife, Mary McGowan; his children, Michael (Kim) McGowan, Katie (Joe) Stowe, and Matthew (Theresa) McGowan; his grandchildren, Thomas, Patrick, Madison, Maggie, Mia, Kennedy, Emily, and Mabel; and his siblings, Jim McGowan, Jeanne Jacobs, and Patrick McGowan.

Mass will be held for Jack at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 5, 2019 at 10:30am. Following the Mass there will be a reception at the Stowe Home.
