John Charles Johnson

John Charles Johnson, age 69, died in his home in Aurora, Colorado on March 24, 2024. He was a graduate of Aurora Central High School, attended Red Rocks Community College and retired from the City of Aurora Streets Department. John lived in Aurora his entire life and married Marylou Smith in 1978. John was an avid golfer and a member of the Aurora Hills Men’s Golf Club.

 He is survived by his wife, Marylou, his children, Jill and Jesse Green, Susie and Nate Taylor , and Charlie and Nicole Johnson. John had seven grandchildren, Regan Green (11), Caroline Green (9), Sadie Green (5), Henry Taylor (9), Nolan Taylor (6), Joseph Taylor (4) and Jackson Johnson (1). He is also survived by his mother Betty Johnson, two sisters (Kathy Polston and Linda Helmers), and four brothers (Steve, Jim, Danny, and David Johnson), and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Charles Johnson and brother in law Paul Polston.

 Funeral services will take place at Our Lady of Loreto Catholic Church on Tuesday, April 9th at 11:30am.
