During those years John and Marlene welcomed three children to their family; Brent LaRon, Darla Kae, and Shari Dawn who currently have all settled down and live in the Denver Area. They have ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren with two more on the way. He was so very proud of his family. John enjoyed the picturesque Colorado Mountains where he spent his time camping, fishing, attending Rockies games and enjoying life to the fullest with his family. He was a very faithful and active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In his later years Marlene and John served as Senior Missionaries for their Church in the Denver North Mission. John was a gentle man, with a kind spirit and a great love for people.
