In Loving Memory of John Patrick Garofolo

John Patrick Garofolo, 58, passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind a loving family and many people whose lives were touched by his presence.

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, John eventually made his home in Boulder, Colorado. He was the beloved husband of Cammie Garofolo and a devoted father to his children, Katie and Alex, from his first marriage with Christie Garofolo.

John was a man of curiosity, ambition, and determination. He graduated from Bucknell University, where he was a member of the swimming team and developed a lifelong love of the water. Swimming was an important part of John's life and remained a passion he carried with him long after his college years.

John later earned his MBA from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago and built a career in tax and management consulting. Throughout his professional life, he developed a deep passion for entrepreneurship. He enjoyed the challenge of building, creating, and exploring new opportunities, working across a number of businesses and industries. His entrepreneurial spirit reflected his curiosity, independence, and willingness to embrace new ideas and challenges.

Of all the activities John enjoyed outside of work and family, skiing held a particularly special place in his heart. Moving to Colorado opened the door to one of his greatest passions, and skiing became one of the most exciting and meaningful parts of his life there. He loved the exhilaration of being on the mountain and looked forward to every opportunity to ski. It was a passion that brought him tremendous joy and became an important part of his Colorado life.

Above all, John loved his children deeply. Katie and Alex held a special place in his heart, and his love for them was one of the most important parts of his life. The memories they shared, the experiences they had together, and the love he gave them will remain with them always.

John's unexpected passing leaves a profound void in the lives of Cammie, Katie, Alex, his family, friends, and all who knew him. He will be remembered for his intelligence, ambition, entrepreneurial spirit, his love of swimming and skiing, and, most importantly, his deep love for his family.

Though he is no longer with them, John's memory will live on through the people he loved, the life he built, and the many memories he leaves behind.

He will be deeply missed and forever loved.

May John rest in peace, and may his memory remain a blessing to all who knew him.
