John Edward White, "Ed," 88, of Colorado Springs, CO, passed away on September 27, 2025.
Born on June 2, 1937, in Oklahoma City, OK, to John and Nellie White, Ed grew up with a deep sense of duty, loyalty, and adventure. He graduated from Queen Anne High School in Seattle, WA, in 1956 and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War Era Draft.
On September 19, 1959, he married Judith L. Eldridge. Together, they built a beautiful life and shared 60 wonderful years before her passing. Ed was a dedicated major appliance salesman for the General Electric Company for four decades, retiring in 1996. Throughout his long career, he deeply enjoyed traveling the country for many General Electric business trips, which allowed him and Judy to explore new places and connect with colleagues nationwide.
An avid outdoorsman, Ed loved skiing, golfing, fishing and camping. He valued lifelong connections, regularly attending his high school reunions and staying in close touch with old friends. Above all, his greatest joy was spending time surrounded by his family.
Ed was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Judith, and his sister, Shirley Conley. He is survived by his son, Todd White, and his wife, Leisha; and his daughter, Mindee Skatfeld, and her husband, Erik. He also leaves behind three grandchildren, Jordan Cunningham, Alexa Deherrera, and Jack White; and three great-grandchildren, Huxton Haggerty, Hendrix Deherrera, and Warren Cunningham.
