John C. Clark

February 7, 1921 — January 28, 2004

John C. Clark, 82, of Centennial, born in Jefferson City, MO. John served as a Captain in The United States Marine Corps. He was a fighter pilot in WWII and in the Korean War, where he was awarded the Air Medal. John held degrees from the University of Missouri and Colorado A&M. He loved the outdoors and horses, and was a true cowboy at heart. Most of his working life was in Colorado with the U.S. Bureau of Land Management. Husband of Vivian; father of John (Leslie) Clark Jr., Christina Hanneman, Mary (John) Scanlan; father-in-law of Jamie Clark. Preceded in death by his son, Ben Clark. Grandfather of nine; brother of Louis Clark, Ephraim Clark, Anne Davis, Margaret Kolb, Mary Jane Fagan and Joe Clark. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Visitation, 12:00 noon with Rosary to follow at 1:00 pm, both Sunday at Horan and McConaty Family Chapel, 1091 S. Colorado Blvd. Funeral Mass, Monday 10:00 am, St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 8035 S. Quebec St. Interment to follow, Fort Logan National Cemetery. Memorials suggested to the Johnson Center Nursing Home Employee Fund, 5000 E. Arapahoe Road, Centennial, CO 80122
