Passed away from cancer on November 4. John was born 9/14/1934 in NYC to Anne (Connor) and Daniel Buckley. John attended LaSalle Academy in NYC and in 1956 graduated from Manhattan College with a BBA in Industrial Relations. Served 2 years in the US Army, discharged in 1958. John was employed in the energy sector by AMAX Petroleum in NYC and was assigned various land functions in Tulsa, OK City, Denver, Billings and Calgary offices. In 1962, AMAX relocated to Tulsa, where John elected to move to Calgary, where he met his wife of 50 years, Jeanette MacDonald. He moved back to the states in 1969 via Indianapolis to Denver, where John held land positions with AMAX, Wainoco, Petro-Lewis, Edwin L. Cox, Evergreen Resources, Pioneer Natural Resources, and most recently with Enerplus and Continental Resources. John is survived by his wife, Jeanette; children Cathy (Bryan) Bennett, John Buckley, Denis Buckley, Ryan (Kendall) Buckley; grandchildren Austin and Jake Bennett, Caden, Noah, Ella and Isabella Buckley; brother, Dan (Roni) Buckley of Long Island. Celebration of Life Service Fri, Nov 14, 2014 at 11am at Rock Of Southwest, 10393 West Alamo Place, Littleton. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Isabella Buckley's Medical Fund at Wells Fargo.
