John Bilinski

John Bilinski, age 70, passed away peacefully at his home in Littleton, CO, September 6, 2026. He left behind a life filled with family, music, achievement and a commitment to learning and personal growth.

Born May 26, 1956 he grew up in Hamilton, NJ where his love for music began at a young age. John started by learning the violin, then the guitar, piano, saxophone, harmonica and drums. He started his first band at the age of 15.

John was a graduate of Thomas Edison College in Trenton, NJ where he earned a degree in engineering. He began his engineering career with RCA Astro in Windsor, NJ. He then went to work at Princeton Plasma Physics in Princeton, NJ while earning a Master's degree at Princeton University. John built a successful career as an Aerospace Engineer with Lockheed Martin Aerospace in New Jersey. John moved to Colorado in 2014 to continue with Lockheed Martin where he was a senior manager before retiring in 2025.

He commenced his martial arts training in 1983 and dedicated himself to the teachings of Chantzu Ismai Saadat encompassing both traditional Kung Fu and Pencak Silat. John qualified to take teaching instructor test. The Masters were impressed with John's physical skill level and intellectual presentation of Shaolin Hung Fu. He was promoted to Sify, first degree orange sash equivalent Korean and Japanese martial arts second-degree black belt. John taught Kung Fu in Ewing, NJ and The Roberts Center in Princeton, NJ. His commitment to martial arts reflected the discipline, perseverance and dedication that he brought to his life.

While John was accomplished professionally, music was one of his greatest passions. Over the years he played in various bands and traveled around the country performing. He performed at CBGB in New York City alongside Joan Jett in the early 1980's. He enjoyed performing at open mic nights in the Denver area, where he could share his music and connect with other musicians and music lovers. John was also an artist, song writer and music producer. John designed and built his own recording studio and produced several albums that can be heard on Spotify and Amazon. He will be remembered for his many interests, creative spirit and his unique life path he created.

John is survived by his loving daughter Amber Bilinki; her mother Stacey Glass; sisters Teresa Harm, Maria (Steve) Servillo; brother Joseph (Sophia) Bilinski Sr.; nieces Angella (Tom) Bock, Natalie Jones; nephews Joseph (Joanne) Bilinski, David (Summer) Harm, Sean Harm; many great-nieces and great-nephews. John also considered Chaantz Ismail Saadat to be a good friend and a brother.The family would like to acknowledge caretaker, Tammi, Unique and Sara, along with Bristol Hospice nurse, Jen.

Rite of Christian Burial Tuesday, September 15, 2026, 11:00 am, Light of the World Catholic Church, 10306 West Bowles Ave., Littleton, CO 80127. Reception to follow service at the church. Interment 2:00 pm, Littleton Cemetery.
