Johanna Vanlingen

Johanna Carolina Charlotte VanLingen, 87, died at Denver Hospice on October 24, 2021, of natural causes. She was born to Johannes J. Willems and Carolina Kemerling on June 1, 1934, in Klaten, Indonesia.

Johanna lived in Aurora, Colorado and worked as a lab technician until retiring in 1985. She loved to cook and garden but didn’t like red roses!

She is survived by her husband of 63 years George VanLingen; children, Marvin G. VanLingen (Tracy), Stanley S. VanLingen (Renee); grandchildren, Lizzy, Sarah, Johanna, Alexandra; great grandchildren, Ilease, Donovan, Bradyn, Payton, Sienna, Ezekiel, Charlotte, Ashtyn, Bonnie, Azrael; and sisters, Wies Willems and Gonda Willems. Johanna was preceded in death by her parents Johannes J. Willems & Carolina Kemerling.

A memorial service will be held on Monday November 8, 2021, at 10am in the Horan & McConaty chapel located at 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora 80014. Relatives and friends are welcome. A reception will be immediately following at the HeartLight reception center adjacent to Horan & McConaty 11:00-12:30pm.
