Joe F. Pacheco

Loving Husband, Proud Dad and Grandfather, Humble Hero

José “Joe” F. Pacheco, 76, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025. He leaves behind a lifetime of enduring love, faithful service, and unforgettable memories. A devoted husband, father, grandfather, veteran, and loyal Denver Broncos fan, Joe dedicated 32 years to public service as a Denver Police Officer. Joe lived a humble life with a steadfast and resilient nature. His days were often full of shared laughter and unwavering love for his family. Joe was born in Saguache, Colorado on October 11, 1948. For 52 years he shared life with his wife and best friend, Jannett. Together they built a home filled with love, laughter, warmth, and unconditional support. Joe’s legacy is one of service, loyalty, and humility. He did not seek the spotlight; he simply showed up everyday for people and causes that mattered. He will be missed deeply and remembered always. He is survived by his beloved wife, Jannett; his sons and their spouses, Carlos and April, and Michael and Jessica; his granddaughter, Kayla and her pup, Venus; his step-grandchildren, Samara and Micah; his sister, Pauline; and his two brothers, Frankie and Pete. Joe was preceded in death by his mother, Adelina; his father, Porfirio; his brothers, Lefus, Johnny (Jr), Tony and Paul; and his sisters, Connie, Cecelia, Barbara, and Dora. Joe was happiest in the presence of those he loved. Joe will be remembered not for his grand gestures, but for the quiet way he made people feel safe, loved and seen. All of us, family and friends, were better for having known him. Earning the respect of both his colleagues and his neighbors, he carried himself with quiet strength and a dry, unforgettable sense of humor that could break the tension in any room -- something his fellow officers, friends, and family came to count on over the years. He was most proud of the titles “Dad, Husband, and Grandpa.” His family was his world.
