Joanne Marie Escalet (Gilmartin)

Joanne Marie Escalet (Gilmartin), aged 68, of New York City, NY, passed away on March 3, 2024, in Aurora, CO at home. She was a Victim Assistance Advocate and held a BA Degree from Brooklyn. Joanne was a driven person who believed in helping others and cherished her animals. She was known for her great ideas and creativity. Her hobbies included quilting, crafts, gift basket making, and traveling.

 Joanne is survived by her loving husband, Joseph Escalet, her son Jakob Escalet, her daughter Fawn Lyons, her son-in-law Levester S Lyons, her granddaughters Korra Escalet-Gaston and Kaylea Lyons and grandson Tzar Lyons. She was preceded in death by her mother, Geraldine Henderson, her mother-in-law Elizabeth Cook, and her father-in-law Jacob Dricks.

 A service to honor Joanne's life will be held at Horan and McConaty, 11150 E Dartmouth Ave, Aurora, CO, 80014, on March 16, 2024, at 10:30 am.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to any animal shelter in memory of Joanne Escalet.
