Joan Mulqueen

Joan Marie Mulqueen died Sunday April 23rd after a period of declining health.

She is safe and warm now, free from the restrictions of her body, and has been welcomed by her father George, her grandparents Art, Helen Mansfield, George and Anna Mulqueen, as well as her favorite cousin Jim Sailor, best friend Peggy Dores, and her pets Miffi and Sweetie.

Joan leaves behind her loving mother Mary, who loved and cared for her throughout her entire life unselfishly, and with great strength and unwavering support.

Joan also leaves her sisters Janet White (Michael), Sally Mulqueen, Diana Barry, and brother Mark (Beth Duquette).

Joan loved her nieces and nephews, Brian White, Michael (Staley Mullins) Barry, grandniece Collins Rae Barry, niece Katie Barry (Mike Gedelman), as well as nephews Ike Mulqueen-Duquette, (Claire Diamond), and Liam Mulqueen-Duquette (Basak Simal).

Our family is forever grateful to the people who helped care for Joan over the last year, particularly Rae Ann Dremel, and we thank Katie Barry for the wonderful help and support you've given your aunt Joan.

The family will hold a service for Joan on May 27th at St. Vincent DePaul church beginning with a Rosary at 9:15 and followed by a mass at 9:30. For guests unable to attend in-person, you may attend Joan's services by clicking on the following live-stream link: https://saintvincents.org/live-stream . The reception will follow at 11:00, at Three Fountains Clubhouse, located at 3250 So. Oneida Way.

Donations in Joan's name can be made to the Rocky Mountain Village, an Easter Seals camp near Georgetown that Joan attended in her youth.
