Joan Konzen

Joan Konzen of Littleton has passed away of natural causes June 17th, 2023. She was a resident of Morningstar Assisted Living.
Born June 29th, 1937 to John and Madeline Cruser in Bronx, New York, Joan aspired to nursing when she began her studies at Hunter Bellevue Nursing School in Manhattan. Joan later met and married, Mike Konzen of Dubuque, Iowa. Both Mike and Joan and her 3 sons Ronald, Marshall and Mitchell, (from a previous marriage) began their lives together on Long Island, where she was a devoted wife and mother to her three boys.
Joan and Mike soon had a son Christopher in 1969. In 1980 Joan, Mike and Chris moved to the Lakewood Colorado area, where Joan began a 20 year career with Mary Kay while continuing her devotion to her family. Joan's sense of fashion and contagious smile was something she gracefully carried throughout her life.

Last year her husband and life partner, Mike, sadly passed away. Joan is survived by 3 of her sons: Ronald, and his son Sean, along with his children Jack and Jessica and their mother Joanne; Ronald's daughter Emily and her husband Beyhan and their daughters, Madeline and Ayla; Marshall and his wife Patti and their daughter Alicia; Marshall's daughter (from a previous relationship) Sonja and her son Austin; her son Chris and his daughters Mikayla and Adrianna, and their mother Kim; Joan's son Mitchell, who preceded her in death and is survived by his widow Diana and her daughters Stephanie and Michelle. Joan was 85.
