Joan M. Coyne

Joani Coyne, age 71, of Littleton, Colorado, passed with grace and peace in the presence of her family after a long battle with cancer. She was born and raised in Brighton, Colorado before moving to Wheat Ridge in her senior year of high school. While a Wheat Ridge graduate, at heart she remained a proud Brighton Bulldog. She attended and graduated with an early education degree from the University of Northern Colorado. While in college she met the love of her life, Patrick, and they married in 1975.

She was a devoted wife and mother and beloved “Nana.” A pillar in the family and an esteemed teacher in the community, her life was marked by the hearts she touched in service of others through her church involvement, hospice volunteer work, maintaining dear friendships and hosting cherished family gatherings. She enjoyed golf, bowling, reading, baking and games. Most important to her was carrying on family traditions, watching her grandkids grow and attending all their activities through the years.

She is survived by her husband, Patrick, children Michael (Julie) Coyne, Jennifer Coyne, and Matthew (Katie) Coyne, 7 grandchildren, nieces and nephews and brother Mike (Linda) Flower. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister, and brother-in-law.

A Recitation of the Rosary will be held on Monday, June 16, 2025 at 6:00PM at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood.

A Funeral Mass celebrating Joani life will be held on Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 10:30AM at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Parish, 6673 West Chatfield Avenue, Littleton, Colorado.  A Reception will immediately follow at the church.  Joani will be laid to rest at a private service at Mount Olivet Cemetery.
