Jessica Price (Smith) Pryor, 35, of Woodway, Texas, passed away June 7, 2026, in Aurora, Colorado. A celebration of her life will be at 2 p.m. July 25, 2026, at University Baptist Church, 1701 Dutton Ave., Waco, Texas.
Jessica was born Oct. 29, 1990, in Dallas to Suellen Price and Brad Smith. She grew up in Coppell and graduated from Coppell High School in 2009. She earned her degree in psychology from the University of North Texas, followed by her master’s in counseling from Tarleton State University. She went on to build a thriving private counseling practice, earning the trust and loyalty of more than 40 clients whose lives she touched with her compassion and care. Good friends introduced her to Taylor Pryor in 2016. They married in Cabo San Lucas on June 14, 2019.
While a four-and-a-half-year battle with small bowel cancer dominated her last years, it did not define her; it made her determined to live every moment to its fullest. She packed her life with fun, friends, travel, crafts, and experiences. She loved softball, cross-stitch, reading, cooking, entertaining, Disney, and all things Harry Potter. She and Taylor loved staying active together, whether golfing, hiking, exploring new places, or planning their next adventure. She was the consummate planner for vacations, holidays, and dinner parties, always making every gathering feel special. She enjoyed savoring IPAs, Sauvignon Blanc, and Malbec. She will be remembered for her laughter, her empathy, and her joyful spirit. She loved music from an early age, as her tastes evolved from the Spice Girls to Britney Spears to Taylor Swift, whom she saw in concert multiple times. Her favorite colors were pink and turquoise. She and Taylor traveled to Iceland, Banff, Italy, Croatia, Montenegro, and her favorite place on earth, Kauai, Hawaii. They made their home in Woodway with their spoiled dogs, Ginger and Nala.
Jessica is survived by her husband, Taylor Pryor; her mother, Suellen Price of Waco; her brother, Alex Smith-Land and his wife, Tristine, of Aurora, Colorado; her uncle, Mark Price of Waco; her parents-in-law, Judy and David Pryor of Centennial, Colorado; her father, Brad Smith of Lewisville, Texas; and grandparents Joanne Smith of Lewisville and Tom and Linda Smith of Dallas. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Bowman and Barbara Price of Waco.
