Jerry Lucero

Jerry A. Lucero of Castle Rock, Colorado passed away at home on October 10, 2021 at the age of 90.  Loving father, grandfather and great grandfather.

Jerry was born May 9, 1931 to his parents Mary and George Lucero in Trinchera, Colorado.  Jerry had many different jobs in his life, working for RTD, which he retired from in 1996, Martin Marietta, Western Wyane, Mail Delivery, Great Western Sugar and Watson Wilson.  He was actively involved with the Knights of Columbus and the RTD Teamsters Union.  Jerry will be missed by his family and friends.

He is survived by his children, Jeffery Lucero of Morrison, Colorado, Randy (Jackie) Lucero or Littleton, Colorado, Valorie (Greg) Shortman of Castle Rock, Colorado, Lisa Lucero of Thornton, Colorado, Kevin Lucero of Lakewood, Colorado and Curtis (Joann) Lucero of Rio Rancho, New Mexico; grandchildren, Christopher, Markus, Jessica, Naomi, Colleen, Audrey, Kevin Jr, Jadon; great grandchildren, Julian, Landon, Randy, Nicolet, Shawn, Summa, Maliki, Zoë; siblings, Viola Simpson of Clarksville, MD, George Lucero of Denver, Colorado, Linda Ditlevesen of Broomfield, Colorado, Star Padilla of Thornton, Colorado, Frank Lucero of Santa Fe, New Mexico.  He is preceded in death Mary Jaramillo, Gilbert Lucero, Ernie Lucero, and Eva S. Lucero.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 beginning at 8:30AM until 10:00 AM, with the Funeral Service beginning at 10:00 AM both at Horan & McConaty Family Chapel, 3101 South Wadsworth Boulevard, Lakewood. Interment at Fort Logan National Cemetery, with honors, will be held following at 11:30 AM at 3698 South Sheridan Boulevard, Denver Colorado.
