Littleton

Jerry Allen Luber, 80, of Littleton, Colorado passed away December 4, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He was born October 27, 1940 in Eau Claire, Wisconsin to Virgil C. and Mildred G. Altom Luber.

Jerry was born and lived in Eau Claire, Wisconsin.  He loved to be active, played many sports, was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish and hunt.

Jerry met his wife Lorena while working as an assistant auditor at Yellowstone National Park in the summer of 1960.  After that summer he went to BYU and was baptized in October 1960.  Jerry and Lorena were married in the Idaho Falls Temple October 20, 1961.  He graduated from BYU in 1964 and moved to Minneapolis, MN to work at Peat Marwick, Mitchel and became a CPA.  In 1969 Jerry and family moved to Grand Forks, ND and he worked as the Financial Vice President for Northern Chemical.  Then in 1971 moved to Colorado and worked for Gerry Outdoor Sports as an Auditor.  In 1973 Jerry started his own CPA Firm and worked there until he retired in 2007.

Jerry enjoyed the great outdoors of Colorado.  He loved to ski and had many great family adventures to most of the ski resorts throughout the state.  He loved to fish, hike, camp, and hunt.  He shared his love of the outdoors with his children, and grandchildren who will continue passing on his passions.

Jerry has had many callings with the church that he enjoyed.  He served 18 years as Scoutmaster, impacting the lives of many young men.  He also served 5 years in the Bishopric, several years as a Regional Financial Trainer/Auditor and served a Mission in Salt Lake City, in the Temple and Family History Mission.

After retiring, Jerry loved to fish with family and friends in Alaska, Colorado, and Montana.  He taught many how to fly fish.  The stories of these trips will forever fill everyone with memories, love, and laughter.

Jerry loved life.  He worked hard and played harder.  No matter what challenges he faced, he always had a smile on his face and did not complain.  He touched the lives of so many and will be forever missed.
