Jerry Jarrett, a Colorado Native born in Colorado Springs on June 14, 1936, passed away on February 29, 2024, at the age of 87. Jerry spent the majority of his life in Englewood, Colorado.
Jerry's dedication to serving his community was evident throughout his life. After graduating from Englewood High School, he embarked on a remarkable 38 1/2-year career as a firefighter, where his continuous training in firefighting and paramedics made a lasting impact.
In retirement, Jerry continued to pursue his passions with the same vigor. He took classes in photography and travel at ACC, enriching his life and expanding his horizons. He was an active member of his church, finding joy in serving as a communion steward and participating in meaningful mission trips to Mexico.
Jerry's thirst for knowledge and adventure took him far and wide, but he always held a special place in his heart for Williamsburg, VA, where he reveled in its rich history and timeless charm.
Jerry is preceded in death by his daughter, Jennifer Anderson, and is survived by his devoted wife, Dianne Jarrett, his brothers Paul and Dave Jarrett, and his step-sons Brian (Ryoko) and Dave (Lara), along with their four step-grandchildren.
A celebration of Jerry's life will be held at 11 am at St. Andrew United Methodist Church, followed by a reception. Later, at 2 pm, he will be laid to rest at Chapel Hill Cemetery.
Jerry will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his spirit will live on in the memories of those whose lives he touched.
