Jerry Doyle Bargery, age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on March 16, 2026, in Colorado. Over the course of his life, Doyle wore many hats, serving his country as an Army paratrooper, spinning records as a radio DJ, driving trucks across the open road, and ultimately retiring from the IT department of the Bureau of Land Management.

Doyle will be fondly remembered for his quick wit and playful sense of humor, which his wife, Carol, knew all too well and endured with love and patience. He had a knack for woodworking, a love for music, and a special talent for turning even the simplest DIY project into a much bigger (and longer-lasting) one.

He is survived by his loving wife, Carol; his children, Shay and Kevin; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, as well as his brother and sister.

True to Doyle’s nature, a small and simple service will be held at Fort Logan National Cemetery in late April, where he will be laid to rest with military honors.
