Jerod Charles Triolo, 41, passed away at his home in Arvada, Colorado, on March 1, 2024.
A Colorado native, Jerod was born on Good Friday, April 9, 1982, to James Triolo and Mona (Huddleston) Triolo, their firstborn and only son, at the Valley View Medical Center in Thornton, Colorado, where his grandmother, Sharon Luther, practiced as a nurse and his uncle, Timothy Yack, later served as the hospital administrator.
Jerod and his younger sister, Natalie (Triolo) Hershberger, were born 14 months apart. The two shared a loving bond and were fiercely close all throughout their lives. Together, they attended both public and parochial school and, under the tutelage of their parents, were home-schooled for three years during their elementary days. Jerod made a confession of faith as a young boy, was baptized along with his sister in 1993, and later in life cultivated an affinity for his Catholic origins.
Jerod lived in the Denver-metro area until 1995, when the family relocated to Nebraska. He graduated from Milford High School in Milford, Nebraska, in 2000, and worked for several years before enrolling in the Precision Machining and Automation Technology – Advanced CNC & Automation Program at Southeast Community College in Lincoln, Nebraska. Jerod received his A.A.S. degree with honors in 2008, graduating first in his class.
Jerod married Allyson Kristine Wright the following year and, shortly thereafter, they relocated to his home state of Colorado to begin their life as a couple. Their beautiful daughter and only child, Ruby Blair Triolo, was born several years later, and was the chief joy and delight of their lives.
At the time of his death, Jerod was expanding his knowledge of his craft and advancing in his career. Early on, he found his niche as a five axis CNC machinist in the aerospace and military defense industries. He had begun a new position only days before his passing, working as a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer for CNC Programming with Primus Aerospace, serving customers across the globe, including Boeing, Lockheed Martin, Honeywell, NASA, and others.
With a unique zest for life, Jerod held a wide array of interests. As a child, he learned to skateboard and, with his father, spent time racing RC cars and flying RC planes. He was an accomplished turntablist and, for a time, enjoyed DJ’ing on the weekends. Other hobbies included travel and spending time in his beloved Rocky Mountains, fishing, shooting, and snowboarding in the great outdoors.
A proud Italian, he greeted others straight in the eye, with a strong handshake and a smile. He carried himself with a great dignity and was exceptionally intelligent, well-spoken, inquisitive, intuitive, artistic, and musical. His laughter was joyful and contagious, and he was funny, mischievous, cool, kind and loyal. Jerod held great love for his parents, his sister, his extended family, his friends and, most of all, his precious daughter, Ruby, who loved her daddy and experienced him as an involved and exemplary father.
Left to grieve his passing are his daughter, Ruby Triolo, of Seneca, South Carolina; his parents, James Triolo of Milford, Nebraska, and Mona Huddleston of Lincoln, Nebraska; his sister, Natalie Hershberger (Nick Hershberger) of Lincoln, Nebraska; six nieces and nephews (Lauren, Benjamin, Wil, Max, Ellie, and Greyson Hershberger); and a host of other family members and good friends.
Jerod was preceded in death by his step-father, Norman Slama; his grandparents, Dominick and Eleanor Triolo; his grandmother, Sharon Luther; and his uncles, Timothy Yack and Dan Huddleston.
Memorial service scheduled for Saturday, March 16, 2024, 11:00 AM, at Ascension Lutheran Church, 1701 West Caley Avenue, Littleton, Colorado, to be officiated by Rev.
