Jeraldine Harmon Lloyd

May 22, 1942 — December 25, 2025

Commerce City

Jeraldine Harmon Lloyd, 83, passed away suddenly, but peacefully in her home Christmas night, 12/25/2025. 'Jeri', as she liked to be called, was born May 22, 1942, to Jack and Lydia Harmon in Pocatello, Idaho, with her twin brother Jerry. Jerry came first, so she was the baby of the family, the twins joining their older sister, Juanita. She grew up in the magical little town of Cokeville, Wyoming, where she played and loved her animals. She attended Cokeville High School, where, legend has it, she taught her twin brother to dance, and she enjoyed many friendships there that lasted a lifetime. It was at that high school where, as a cheerleader, she fell in love with a handsome football player named Nolan Lloyd. Jeri worked at the Cokeville mercantile store while waiting for Nolan to serve his mission for the LDS church. He returned in July of 1964, and they were married on September 4th of that same year. Nolan and Jeri are married for eternity, but spent 61 wonderful years together earthside.

Nolan and Jeri had 5 children, and lived in Wyoming, Ohio, North Carolina, Pocatello, Idaho, Broomfield, Colorado, and Elko, Nevada during the years they were raising their family. Her children were blessed to have the most wonderful mother. She had a gift of loving unconditionally, and she served and loved those in her family perfectly. She was a talented seamstress, sewing beautiful, matching outfits for her children, as well as sewing pockets on her sweet little boy’s shirts to hold his hearing aid. Her gift of cooking and baking blessed her family, as well as hundreds of missionaries and individuals she took care of and served over the years. One of the favorites was her famous Snickerdoodles, which have brought comfort and joy to so many over the years! She was a self-proclaimed bookworm, and shared that love of reading with her children. Books of all kinds brought her joy. She also had a wonderful sense of humor, and laughter was the primary language of love in her household.

Jeri devoted her life to her family and to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She held many positions and was a teacher, a leader, and a mentor to young and old throughout her life. Mostly, she was kind. As her twin brother states, she was the kindest person on earth. She is survived by her husband, Nolan, her brother Jerry (Bonnie), her children Cynthia Egbert, Kristie (Don), Valerie (Mark) and Brad (Kerry) as well as 15 beloved grandchildren, and 21 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Lydia Harmon, her daughter Stephanie, her sister Juanita, her son-in-law Karl, and her great-grandson Tai.

As a devoted wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and friend, Jeri affected and touched countless lives and will be tremendously missed. Her testimony of our Savior Jesus Christ was taught through her example, as the main focus of her life was service. Service with kindness, tenderness, and love. We look forward with much joy to the time when we will see her again. A service celebrating her life will be held January 3rd, 2026 at the LDS Chapel at 12005 E 119th Ave. Commerce City, Colorado. Viewing at 10 AM, service will begin at 11:00 AM. Jeri's burial will take place on Monday, January 5th, and she will be laid to rest in the Fairview Cemetery in Brighton, Colorado.
