Jennifer Deanna Mattocks left this world at the young age of 54. She was born to William Mattocks and Joanne Sprinkle on August 14, 1967 and she passed on October 28, 2021. Jennifer was the youngest of 4. She grew up primarily in Illinois and Nebraska. Jennifer met and married George Eckendorf on December 31, 1985 and welcomed their first daughter in 1986. George and Jennifer lived in Omaha, Nebraska as the welcomed two more daughters in 1988 and 1990. Jennifer studied nursing and phlebotomy as a young woman and had dreams of helping others. Jennifer and George moved their young family to Denver, Colorado in 1990. Although George and Jennifer officially divorced in 1995, they remained close friends until her last days. Jennifer married Scott Granger in 1995 and had a beautiful baby boy in 1996.
Jennifer became a grandma in 2007 and was adamant that being a grandma was what she was born to do. She took such joy in spending time with her 10 grandchildren and watching them grow. She loved to take them on trips to feed the ducks and on picnics at the park. She loved to spend time shopping at thrift stores and finding little treasures. She would spend hours making and tinkering with arts and crafts. She made many things for her grandchildren to cherish for the years to come. She was always helping the people around her and trying to make everyone lives a little more bright. She was passionate about leaving great memories for her grandchildren to remember her by. Her greatest accomplishment was being a fantastic grandma to Dean, Ava, Violet, Layla, Dylan, Giovani, Oliver, Carter, Cairo, and Liam.
Jennifer is survived by her life partner, Scott Leslie, her four children, JoAnna, Sarah, Samantha and Skyler and her 10 grandchildren. Jenny’s celebration of life will be held at Horan and McConaty Funeral Service at 5303 E County Line Rd, Centennial, Colorado on November 10, 2021.
