Jeffrey P. Julin passed away on September 13, 2026. He was born in Leadville, CO on May 22, 1952. Spending his early years living in Climax and Leadville, he began a life of participation and contributions. As a baby Jeff and his twin brother were part of a landmark study on the effects of high altitude on babies born above 10,000 -11,000 feet in elevation. He continued to make history, by becoming the first boy cheerleader in the town during his 7th and 8th grade years at St. Mary’s Catholic School.

After the family moved to Lakewood, Jeff attended Bear Creek High School where he was a member of both the drama department and the choir in addition to being part of the musical group Sounds of BC. While in high school Jeff was president of the Colorado Catholic Youth Organization.

Jeff attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity. He received a BA in Communications and Theater.

Jeff’s 40-plus year career was committed to the public relations profession beginning with American Metal Climax, Inc. Later,  Jeff became President of MGA Communications, an award winning boutique public relations agency. He later formed his own company Julin Strategic Communications.

During his career,  Jeff was actively involved with the local chapter and served as past national chair of the Public Relations Society of America from which he received a Lifetime Achievement Award. He was also past president of the Public Relations Organization International.

While not working at his agency,  Jeff served as chair of the Community Board for the Center for Bioethics and Humanities at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus.

Jeff was devoted to his faith and sang in the choir at Holy Ghost Catholic Church for many years.

Jeff was blessed with many friends and colleagues. His joys were abound: a view of the mountains, snow, beautiful flowers, an ocean shore, entertaining friends and family, and his dogs. He loved a great bourbon, pasta, Mexican food, and vanilla ice cream. There were very few Broadway show tunes or musicals of which he didn’t know all the lyrics. Christmas was his favorite holiday. He and his life partner Mike hosted many memorable holiday gatherings. They also loved to travel, making many memorable trips around the world, but his favorite place was Venice, Italy.

Jeff is preceded in death by his life partner Mike, parents Betty and Doug, sisters Bridget and Claudia. He is survived by brother Chuck, sister Liz, nieces and nephews, grandnieces and stepson Mike.
